Before you play another game, look at the cards you already own. Collecting both 7th Inning bosses provides a 30,000 XP voucher for the 8th Inning path, which could save you a fair amount of playing time. If you're weighing up your roster or browsing MLB 26 stubs, check those collection requirements first. Don't assume every card needs replacing, either. A player sitting unused in your inventory might already cover an objective. Review the available collection rewards before spending currency or settling in for another long session.

Give Your Double XP Sessions a Purpose

Double XP runs through October 19, 2026, so there's a shorter window for boosted gameplay rewards than for finishing the path itself. The 8th Inning expires on October 23, 2026. That difference matters when you're planning your sessions. Use the boosted period for games that also move unfinished objectives forward, rather than treating extra XP as a reason to play without a target. Mission payouts and gameplay XP aren't the same thing, so don't budget around every reward being doubled. Check your remaining total before choosing what to play.

Build Your Lineup Around Unfinished Missions

The three mission drops offer up to 32,000 XP apiece, making them worth reviewing before you lock in a lineup. Start with objectives that overlap. Cornerstone, Topps Now, Spotlight, or 2026 Postseason players can earn the required Parallel XP while you work toward hitting and scoring targets. You don't need a separate session for every task. Try this quick check before loading into a game, especially if you've only got time for a couple of matchups.

Identify the required player series.
Confirm which modes count.
Fill suitable lineup spots with eligible cards.

Pick Games That Serve More Than One Goal

Conquest makes sense when you've still got map rewards to collect. Mini Seasons offers another route if you'd rather work through CPU matchups, while Diamond Quest and Play vs CPU can support eligible objectives too. The important bit is eligibility, not simply choosing your favorite mode. Ranked hits won't come from offline games, and Events tasks need their specified setting. Keep those sessions separate. Also, check exchange values carefully. Giving up a useful card for a modest XP payout isn't automatically a good trade.

Know When You Have Enough

The boss choice pack sits at 275,000 XP and offers 99 OVR Ken Griffey Jr. or 99 OVR Roy Campanella. Work backward from that target instead of chasing every available activity. A nearly finished mission may be more useful than starting fresh content. If you're considering MLB 26 stubs for sale, keep roster spending separate from your XP plan. Claim available rewards, finish eligible objectives, and choose the boss who addresses an actual weakness in your team.
